Pi Studios
Website and Identity
Problem
PI Studios was a game developer in Austin, Texas and they approached me early on to develop a mark for their new company. The mark was a bold graphic reprsentation of the pi mathamatical symbol.
After I finished the logo for Pi Studios I was asked to create a website for them. I choose to approach this assignment with a soviet graphic style. In addition to the new logo large graphics and improvised Russian text were the highlights of this design.
Methods
Evaluating this problem it was decided that children, who have grown up extremely connected to media, generally are more cynical when it comes to messaging specifically focused to them. The message here needs to be infomative but also sophisticated enough to not draw the cynicism of the intended audience.
Tools
Adobe Photoshop, Pico, HTML, CSS, Javascript
Results
The identity and site were well received by the client and both elements were used by the company for many years.
